The Dark Seas x F.V. Monica x Farias’ collab honors the commercial fishing families who make the Ocean their workplace. There has always been a connection to the sea and waves for them and no one has stronger ties than the Mears family. Operating the Monica since 1983 when Danny Mears' grandfather purchased the 73’ steel hull. Today it supplies the local markets w/ fresh tilefish, tuna and swordfish. Danny is a 3rd generation captain and his surfing mirrors the boat’s character; powerful, humble and able to handle anything the ocean throws at him w/ style. A donation will be made to the Fisherman’s Story Memorial Fund from sales.
